Bulldogs Head to Mercer for Final SoCon Road Series

GAME NOTES

MACON, Ga. - The Citadel hits the road for the final time in Southern Conference play as it travels to face Mercer on May 14-15. The series is set to get underway Friday at 6 p.m.

Temperatures are expected to be in the upper 70s for all three games of the series.

All three games against Mercer will be broadcast on ESPN+.

vs. Mercer
The Citadel and Mercer are meeting for their second series this season. The teams met in Charleston in early April with the Bears winning all three contests. Mercer holds a 21-14 advantage in the all-time series.

Lott Doubles Up
For the second time in a three-game span, Travis Lott collected two doubles in a game. He had a pair of two-baggers in the first game of the doubleheader at Wofford, and followed it up with two more against the College of Charleston.

Long Ball
The Citadel utilized the long ball in the middle game against Wofford. The Bulldogs hit three home runs in third inning of the game. Noah Mitchell started the inning with a solo shot, Cam Jensen added a two-run shot and Ryan McCarthy hit a three-run homer. It was the first time the Bulldogs hit three home runs in a game since doing so against Saint Peter's on Feb. 29, 2020.

On Deck
The Bulldogs play their final midweek game of the season as they make the short trip across the Ravenel Bridge to take on the College of Charleston on May 18. First pitch is set for 6 p.m.
