Tyler Moffe's game-high 21 points and a 13-point, 12-rebound showing from
Stephen Clark.

How it Happened
- The Citadel had good energy to start the game with a 5-4 lead, keeping Chattanooga's scoring chances minimal through the opening minutes and forcing the Mocs into several miscues.
- Chattanooga got its engine going with nine straight points coming out of the first media timeout and never relinquished the lead.
- The Bulldogs drew to within as close as two points on three occasions in the first half, the last coming on Jason Roche free throws at 22-20 with 5:29 left before halftime. The Mocs answered with seven straight points to set some distance and lead at halftime 35-27.
- The Citadel got to within four of Chattanooga early in the second half thanks to David Maynard's and-one layup to make the score 41-37 with 15:21 to play.
- The Mocs' David Jean-Baptiste answered on the ensuing drive with a 3-pointer to start an 8-0 run that put Chattanooga at a comfortable advantage the rest of the way.
Inside the Box Score
- Tyler Moffe had the best scoring game in his two years at The Citadel with a game-high 21 points, making 3-of-8 triples to go with another game-best four assists and four rebounds. It was the graduate point guard's best scoring effort since his undergrad days at Mansfield, when he scored 23 points at Seton Hill on Nov. 23, 2019.
- Stephen Clark had his second double-double of the season with 13 points and 12 rebounds, along with four assists and three blocks. He made 6-of-11 from the field and 1-of-1 on his lone 3-point attempt.
- Hayden Brown scored six of the Bulldogs' first 11 points, as well as grabbing four rebounds, before having to leave the game. Jackson Price and Owen Spencer stepped up to pull in seven and five rebounds, respectively.
- Both sides struggled from behind the arc, with The Citadel (6-27) outgaining Chattanooga (5-21) on threes. The free throw line was a different story, as the Mocs cashed in on a near-flawless 18-of-20 performance to the Bulldogs' 8-of-14. Chattanooga's bench delivered 23 points, while The Citadel had just seven.
- The Citadel and Chattanooga had better shooting second halves, including the Bulldogs shooting 53.8 (14-26) in the last 20 for 40.7 overall (24-59). The Mocs ended the day at 41.9 percent (26-62).
- Chattanooga guard and the SoCon's leading scorer Malachi Smith led the team with 19 points and eight rebounds. Silvio DeSousa, who led the league in field goal percentage, was held to jus two points on 1-of-4 shooting and four rebounds in just ten minutes of play.
- David Maynard posted ten points with six rebounds, making 4-of-9 from the floor and 1-of-3 on threes.
Rising Through the Ranks!
- Hayden Brown became the 19th player in school history to reach 1,200 career points. His 1,202 career markers and 622 career rebounds makes him the eighth person ever to eclipse 1,200 points and 600 rebounds.
- Stephen Clark passed Matt Newman for fourth all-time with 115 career blocks. His career-best 53 blocks this season ranks sixth all-time.
- Freshman Jason Roche had one 3-pointer Saturday, enough to tie for fourth all-time among Bulldogs freshmen with 73 threes on the season with Zach Urbanus (2007-08).
