SPARTANBURG, S.C. – After nearly a month away from competition, The Citadel cross country programs picked up where they left off at Saturday's USC Upstate Invitational. The men finished sixth in their 13-team field, while the women placed tenth.
Heidi Fortin ran the sixth-fastest 5K time in program history with her team-leading finish.

- The Bulldogs placed sixth with 163 points in their 8K race.
- Sam Sharnas led the team, placing 18th with a time of 25:38.7.
- Owen Sharnas took 28th with a mark of 26:00.8.
- Ty Duben was the Bulldogs' third finisher, earning 47th place at 26:29.7.

- Gabby Shea earned a new career best time, placing 64th with 20:37.5
