  • The Bulldogs open the month of November with the Homecoming game agianst Chattanooga on Nov. 5. Kickoff is set for 2 p.m.
  • Saturday's game will be streamed live on ESPN+. Dave Weinstein and Jason Kempf will be on the call.
  • Saturday's game can be heard live on the radio with the voice of the Bulldogs, Luke Mauro, and Lee Glaze on the call.
  • The game marks the 45th meeting between the two teams with the Mocs holding a 33-19-2 advantage in the series.
  • The Bulldogs won last year's meeting in Chattanooga, 24-21, after Sam Llewellyn scored on a 57-yard run with just over six minutes to play. Both Dominick Poole and Destin Mack intercepted passes to seal the victory in the final minutes.
  • The previous three meetings between the school's resulted in one-point victories for the Mocs.Colby Kintner set a new school-record with a 56-yard field goal against
  • Samford. The kick broke the previous record of 53 yards set twice by Greg Davis in 1984.
  • The Citadel opened the game against Samford with a 15-play drive that took over eight minutes off the first-quarter clock.
  • The Bulldogs held the ball for 38:07 against Samford. The Citadel now leads the FCS in time of possession at 36:53 per game. The Bulldogs have won the time of possession battle in all eight games this season.
  • Johnny Crawford III led the Bulldogs in rushing against Samford, running a game-high 86 yards on 14 carries. All of his rushing attempts came in the second half.
  • Hasan Black led the Bulldog defense with 10 tackles against Samford. It was his second double-digit tackle performance in the last three games.
  • Brian Horn added seven tackles, including forcing and recovering a fumble on Samford's opening drive of the second half.

Inside The Numbers
 6 - The last four meetings between the Bulldogs and Mocs have been very tight as six points total have separated the teams. The Citadel won last year's game by three points after Chattanooga won the previous three games by one point.
56 - Kicker Colby Kintner connected on a 56-yard field goal against Samford. The kick established a new school record and was just one yard shy of a Southern Conference record.
69 - Saturday's matchup with Chattanooga will be the 69th Homecoming game. The Citadel is 43-25 in the previous 68 contests. The Bulldogs played a pair of Homecoming games during the 2021 season after not having one due to the pandemic in 2020.
 3 - The Citadel will be playing its third Southern Conference home game of the season against a team ranked in the Top 15 in national polls. Chattanooga enters the game at No. 11, after Samford was ranked No. 13 last week. The Bulldogs home opener was a victory over No. 8 ETSU. The Bulldogs other home SoCon game came against Furman, a team currently ranked No. 13.
