CHARLESTON, S.C. – The Citadel rifle team welcomed Alaska Fairbanks for a two-match set Wednesday and Thursday. The women's team faced the Nanooks during the Wednesday set, posting 4369 points to Alaska Fairbanks' 4753. On Thursday, the Bulldogs posted 4621 points to the Nanooks' 4747.
Thursday Combined Results
- Alaska Fairbanks earned the top six spots on the leaderboard, led by Rylan Kissell's 1192, which included a perfect 600 in air rifle.
- James Hart led the Bulldogs with a seventh-place finish, posting 1171 points.
Thursday Smallbore Results
- Alaska Fairbanks earned 2366 to The Citadel's 2285.
- The Nanooks earned the top seven spots, led by Rylan Kissell's 592 points.
- James Hart led the Bulldogs in eighth place with his 577 score.
- Charlotte Welsh earned ninth at 575 points.
- Carson Wood took tenth with 569 points.
Thursday Air Rifle Results
- The Citadel made it a razor-thin margin, earning 2336 points to AF's 2381.
- The Nanooks took the top three spots and six of the first seven, where Rylan Kissell highlighted the match with a perfect 600.
- James Hart earned fourth place with a 594 score.
- Charlotte Welsh earned eighth place with a 583.
- Carson Wood set a new career best with a 581 for ninth.
- Aiden Malcolm finished tenth with a 578.
Women's Wednesday Results
- Demi Perez earned eighth place overall with a 1112, shooting 542 and 570 in the smallbore and air rifle, respectively.
- Deanna Douglass was ninth with a 1089, going 536 in smallbore and 553 in air rifle.
- Michaela Martin earned tenth with a 1086 by way of a 511 smallbore and 575 air rifle ledger, giving her a team-best seventh-place finish in the latter event.
- Emma McCorkle finished ninth in the smallbore with a 541, while matching that score in the air rifle for a 1082 overall score.
