CHARLESTON, S.C. – The Citadel football team put together one of its best showings of the season, but it was not enough as the Bulldogs fell, 31-21, to No. 11 Chattanooga Saturday afternoon inside Johnson Hagood Stadium.

How it Happened
- The Bulldogs got on the board on their second possession of the game as Johnny Crawford III went up the middle for the one-yard touchdown run. The play was set up by a 62-yard run from B-Back Braden Walker.
- The Mocs got on the board after a Bulldog turnover. The defense held, but Aaron Sears converted the 34-yard field goal.
- UTC took the lead early in the second quarter on a two-yard run from Ailym Ford.
- The Mocs found the endzone again on their first drive of the second half as Ford scored from six yards out.
- UTC added to the lead with a 36-yard touchdown pass from Preston Hutchinson to Camden Overton.
- The Citadel got back into the endzone in the fourth quarter when Peyton Derrick found Christian Hilton over the middle for a 19-yard touchdown.
- UTC answered back with a one-yard touchdown run from Gino Appleberry.
- The Bulldogs put together another scoring drive later in the fourth as Derrick hit Cooper Wallace for a 14-yard touchdown.

- The Bulldogs moved the ball with a balanced attack all game. The Citadel ran for 188 yards and threw for 118 yards.
- Braden Walker led the ground attack with 96 yards on 15 carries, including a 62-yard run to set up the game's first touchdown.
- Ricky Conway added 33 yards on five carries.
- Johnny Crawford III carried six times for 10 yards, including his first collegiate touchdown.
- Peyton Derrick went 11-for-13 for 118 yards and two touchdowns.
