Baseball Welcomes Siena to The Joe

GAME NOTES

CHARLESTON, S.C. - The Citadel welcomes Siena to the Lowcountry for a three-game series March 12-13. The series gets underway with a doubleheader 1 p.m., and concludes with a 1 p.m. first pitch on Sunday.

vs. Siena
The Bulldogs and Saints have met three times prior when the Saints paid a visit to Riley Park in 2016. The Citadel swept the three-game series over Siena on Feb. 26-28, 2016.

vs. the MAAC
The weekend series will be the first of two series against teams from the MAAC. The Bulldogs will play host to Saint Peter's next weekend.

Beckley Goes 6.0 Shutout in Midweek
Devin Beckley kept the USC Upstate bats silent as the right hander allowed just two hits in 6.0 shutout innings. He added six strikeouts.

Hutchins Performance
Right hander Ben Hutchins was dominant in his start against Northern Kentucky. He allowed just five hits and struck out six without allowing an earned run over 7.2 innings.

Costa's 4-Hit Day
Second baseman Dylan Costa had his first four-hit game as a Bulldog in the series opener against Northern Kentucky. He finished 4-of-5 with a double and three runs scored.

On Deck
The Bulldogs welcome No. 1 Texas to The Joe for a midweek contest on March 16. First pitch against the Longhorns is set for 7 p.m.
