Tennis Heads To The Tar Heel State For Three Matches

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. – The Citadel men's tennis team will travel to North Carolina for three matches against James Madison and North Carolina A&T on Mar. 14 and Methodist on Mar. 15.  
 
The Bulldogs open Monday morning with a match against James Madison at 10 a.m. and then travel to Greensboro to face North Carolina A&T at 4 p.m.
 
The Bulldogs will stay in Fayetteville for doubleheader action on Tuesday afternoon against Methodist University. The first match starts at 1 p.m. and the second at 5 p.m.
 
The Bulldogs are 4-16 on the season, with recent losses to Davidson and Clemson on Mar. 12.
 
The Bulldogs will open up singles match play with Hayden Shoemake, who went 3-4 in the No.1 singles spot in his last four matches.
 
James Madison is 7-2 for the 2022 season; The Dukes recently defeated Richmond, 6-1.
 
North Carolina A&T is 6-4 on the season. The Aggies are rocking a six-game winning streak with their most recent win against Davidson.
 
Methodist is 4-2 on the season, with a most recent doubleheader lost to Richmond on Mar. 6.

The Bulldogs will return back to action at home on Mar. 31 against the University of Delaware at the Earle Tennis Center.
