FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. – The Citadel men's tennis team dropped a pair of matches Monday afternoon against James Madison, 6-1, and North Carolina A&T, 5-2.

• Zvonko Bencedic took a three-set victory over Youssef Sadek in the No.2 singles spot. Sadek took the first set, 6-4, Bencedic battled in the second set to force a third set with a 6-4 win. Bencedic dominated the third set and took the match with a 6-2 victory.
• Hayden Shoemake and Holden Koons played a three-set match in the No.1 singles spot. Koons won the first set, 6-1; Shoemake evened up the match with a 6-3 victory in the second set. Koons won the set and match with a 6-0 win over Shoemake.
• The doubles duo of Zvonko Bencedic and Sebastian Kamieniecki won their match, 6-4.

• Lucas Robins, in the No. 4 singles spot, defeated Ethan Baly. Robins and Baly battled in the first set, which was forced into a tiebreaker set; Robins took the set, 7-6. In the second set, Robins took the match in two sets, defeating Baly, 6-4.
• Sebastian Kamieniecki took the match in two sets against Jorge Perez. Kamieniecki dominated the first set, winning 6-1. Kamieniecki and Perez battled in the second set; Kamieniecki came out victorious, winning the second set and the match, 7-5.
• Hayden Shoemake forced a three-set match against Esteban Lopez. Shoemake defeated Lopez in the first set, 6-2. Lopez took the second set, 6-2, and won the third set and the match, 6-1.
• Zvonko Bencedic and Sebastian Kamieniecki went two-for-two on doubles victories on the day, winning 6-2.
