Baseball Hosts Saint Peter's for Weekend Series

GAME NOTES

CHARLESTON, S.C. - The Citadel continues its month-long home stand as the Bulldogs welcome Saint Peter's to Joseph P. Riley, Jr. Park on March 18-20. The series is set to get underway at 2 p.m. on Friday, followed by a 2 p.m. start on Saturday and a 1 p.m. game on Sunday. All three games will be aired on ESPN+.


Weekend Weather
Forecasts are calling for temperatures to be in the low to upper 70s all weekend, with a chance of showers on Saturday.


ESPN+
This weekend's games against Saint Peter's will be carried on ESPN+. Dave Weinstein will be on the call.


Ticket Information
Tickets for all home games are available on CitadelSports.com/tickets or by calling the box office at 843-953-DOGS. Tickets will also be available at the stadium box office starting one hour before first pitch.


vs. Saint Peter's
The Bulldogs and Peacocks are meeting for the second time in the last three seasons. In the only other previous series, The Citadel won all three games in 2020.


vs. the MAAC
The weekend series marks the second-straight weekend the Bulldogs will be playing a team from the MAAC. The Citadel won the series against Siena last weekend.


Last Series Against Saint Peter's
The two teams met in Charleston in 2020 with the Bulldogs sweeping the series. The Citadel won the opener, 14-7, before taking the next two games, 13-0 and 9-0.


Scoreless Streak Against Peacocks
The Bulldog pitching staff enters the weekend on a scoreless streak of 19.1 innings against the Peacocks. The Citadel last allowed a run with two outs in the eighth inning of the series opener.


Mitchell Continues Hot Streak
Noah Mitchell continued his hot streak as he delivered a three-run homer against Texas, giving him 12 RBIs over his last three games.


On Deck
The Bulldogs welcome South Carolina to Riley Park on March 22. First pitch is set for 7 p.m.
