Track and Field Wrap Up Day Two at Weems Baskin

COLUMBIA, S.C. – The Citadel men's and women's track and field teams complete day two at the Weems Baskin Invitational on Saturday afternoon.

Men's Side
  • JP Caglione placed fourth in the shot put with a put of 51-03.75.
  • Distance runner Alex Wulfhorst competed in the 1500m run; Wulfhorst finished in fourth with a time of 4:07.40.
  • Sam Sharnas earned himself a fourth-place finish in the 3000m run with a time of 8:50.51. He set a personal best with his time and moved into sixth in the school's record book.
Women's Side
  • Carisma Holland finished in second in the shot put with a put of 45-03.75. She now sits second all-time in the school's record book behind Hall of Famer Stephanie McNeill.
  • Holland took the third spot in the discus with a toss of 135-09. She ranks fourth all-time in the school's record book.
  • Heidi Fortin ran a personal best with a time of 10:56.11 in the 3000m run to earn herself a fifth-place finish. She moves up in the record book to sixth all-time.

The Bulldogs will be heading to Greenville, North Carolina, to compete in the Bill Carson Invitational hosted by East Carolina on Apr. 1-2.
