Baseball Faces First Road Series at Creighton

GAME NOTES

OMAHA, Neb. - The Citadel crosses the county line for the first time this season as it hits the road to travel Omaha, Nebraska to face Creighton on April 1-3. The series opener is set for 7:30 p.m., with Saturday's game set for 3 p.m. and Sunday's finale at 1 p.m. The series opener and finale will be carried on FloSports.

Weekend Weather
Forecasts are calling for temperatures to be near 60 degrees throughout the weekend.

The games on Friday and Sunday will be carried on FloSports, while Saturday's game will be broadcast on Nebraska Public Media.


vs. Creighton
The Bulldogs and Blue Jays are meeting for the first time on the diamond.


vs. the Big East
The Bulldogs will be playing their second series against a team from the Big East this season. The Citadel took two-of-three from Villanova the last weekend in February.


Return to Omaha
The weekend series marks the return to Omaha for three Bulldog coaches. Tony Skole played in the 1990 series with The Citadel at Rosenblatt Stadium, while Blake Cooper won the 2010 National Championship with South Carolina. Zach Lucas played in Charles Schwab Field with Louisville.


First Road Trip
As the calendar hits April, the Bulldogs hit the road for the first time. Outside of a triple across town, The Citadel has played all of its games so far this season inside its home ballpark.


McCarthy in March
Ryan McCarthy had a big month of March as he hit .400 (19-55) with four doubles, two triples, four home runs and 19 RBIs in 15 games. He also added four outfield assists.


On Deck
The Bulldogs return to Riley Park to face Charleston Southern on April 6 at 6 p.m.
