Baseball Closes Out Month at Home Against UNCG

GAME NOTES

CHARLESTON, S.C. - The Citadel closes out the month of April with a three-game Southern Conference series against UNCG at Joseph P. Riley, Jr. Park on April 29-May 1. The series opener is set for Friday at 6 p.m., and continues with a 2 p.m. first pitch on Saturday and a 1 p.m. start for the finale on Sunday.

The Citadel and UNCG have met 79 times prior with the Spartans holding a 40-39 advantage in the series. The Bulldogs held the advantage in the series, but have dropped 10-straight to UNCG. The weekend matchup in Charleston is the first since the 2018 season.

Weekend Weather
Temperatures are expected to be in the upper 70s the first two days and then around 80 degrees on Sunday.

All three games of the weekend series will be broadcast on ESPN+. Luke Mauro will be on the call for all three games.

Next week's midweek game against Charleston has been moved to Wednesday, May 4 at 5 p.m.

Three Steals in Back-to-Back Games
Outfielder Ryan McCarthy stole three bases against Winthrop. It marked the second-straight game the graduate stole three bases in a game.

Victory Over Winthrop
The Citadel's midweek victory over Winthrop put an end to a five-game losing streak to the Eagles.

On Deck
The Bulldogs make the short trip up I-26 to take on Charleston Southern on May 4 at 5 p.m.
