Bulldogs Bring Home Two Outdoor Championships

BIRMINGHAM, ALA. – Stephen Kraeling and JP Caglione finished the outdoor season as Southern Conference Champions.

The Citadel men's track and field team finished in sixth place with 74 points, and the women's finished in sixth with 46 points.

Yanna Cuesta earned women's all-freshman honors in the shot put.

Day 2 Results

Men's Results
  • Stephen Kraeling finishes the outdoor season as the Southern Conference High Jump Champion. Kraeling set a personal record in the high jump by leaping 6-08.75.
  • JP Caglione ended the weekend as the Southern Conference Shot Put Champion. He tossed 50-10.00. Also, Caglione threw 150-10 in the discus to finish in fifth place.
  • The 4x100 meter relay team of Jaylan Adams, Treonte Newton, Luke Segee, and Mac Strunk finished in fourth with a time of 42.80.
  • The 4x400 meter relay team of Jeremy Walker, Aidan Richter, Andrew Smith, and Luke Segee finished in fifth with a time of 3:26.38
  • Mac Strunk finished fifth in the 200m dash finals with a time of 21.70.
  •  Strunk set a personal record of 10.78 in the 100m dash finals to finish eighth.
  • Treonte Newton took the fifth spot in the 400m dash finals with a personal record of 48.62.
  • Luke Segee competed in the 400m hurdles finals and finished eighth with 1:00.57.
  • Prince Moody cleared 6-02.75 in the high jump to earn himself a sixth-place finish.
Women's Results
  • Carisma Holland finished in second place in the shot put with 44-10.75. Also, Holland finished fourth in the discus with a throw of 123-02.
  • Tatiana Corso set a personal record and took the third spot in the shot put with 42-10.25. Corso moves into third all-time in the school's record book.
  • Corso finished in sixth place in the discus throw with 114-09.
  • Mecca Jackson competed in the 200m dash finals; she finished fifth with a time of 24.71.
  • The 4x100 meter relay team of Leah Murray, Mecca Jackson, Cyla Byrd, and Chelsi Smalls finished in sixth with a time of 48.40.
  • The 4x400 meter relay team of Mecca Jackson, Leah Murray, Chelsi Smalls, and Gabby Shea took seventh with 4:14.97.
  • Yanna Cuesta took the ninth spot in the shot put with a put of 36-00.0
  • Gabby Shea ran a 2:26.72 in the 800m finals to earn a ninth-place finish.
