Bulldogs Open SoCon Tournament Play Wednesday Morning

GAME NOTES

GREENVILLE, S.C. -
The Citadel opens the Southern Conference Tournament on May 25 as the Bulldogs take on ETSU in the opening round. The single-elimination game will open the tournament at 9 a.m. at Fluor Field in Greenville, South Carolina. The game will be broadcast on ESPN+.

vs. ETSU
The Citadel and ETSU will meet again in the opening round of the SoCon Tournament. The Bucs won the series that was just concluded.


vs. ETSU in SoCon Tourney
The Bulldogs and Bucs are meeting for the first time in the SoCon Tournament since facing off in an elimination game in 2016. ETSU won the game, 4-2. The Citadel won the previous 11 matchups in the tournament.

Open With Final Opponent
Wednesday's tournament opener against ETSU will mark the second-straight SoCon Tournament the Bulldogs will open against the team they finished the regular season against. The Citadel ended the 2019 season against Western Carolina and opened with them in the tournament.


Dill's First Career Jack
Garrett Dill hit his first career home run the series finale against ETSU. The long bacll came in his first at-bat of the game.


Mitchell and Lott Go Back-to-Back
Noah Mitchell and Travis Lott hit back-to-back homers on back-to-back pitches in the third inning of the regular season finale at ETSU.


Reeves Dominates ETSU
Right hander Cameron Reeves was dominant in his start against ETSU, allowing just one hit and striking out five in 5.0 shutout innings. He retired the first 13 batters that he faced.
