CHARLESTON, S.C. – The Citadel enters the weekend with a great winning performance at home Friday against USC Upstate in a 3-0 victory.
Maggie Melogy's first goal of the season to give the Bulldogs a 1-0 halftime lead was paid back with interest with second-half goals from
Kristi Jones and
Suzuka Yosue. Adding to the mix was freshman goalie
Grace Laws putting in a fine performance in her first collegiate start to earn her first career win.

- 35' – Maggie Melogy got her first goal of the season from the left wing to put The Citadel in front, assisted by Elisa Fuentes.
- 61' – Kristi Jones took full advantage of her wide open shot from the right side, coming after Suzuka Yosue stepped in front of a clear attempt by goalie Cora Brendle and fed to Jimena Risoto to Jones.
- 71' – Suzuka Yosue received a great free kick from Celeste Nader from the right side, putting enough on it down the left wing to sail it past Cora Brendle for the third score of the day.
