CHARLESTON, S.C. – The Citadel women's golf team opens the 2022 season Tuesday afternoon with a match play event against Montreat. The event will be played at the Patriots Point Links with the first player teeing off at 3 p.m.
 
The Bulldog lineup will feature a pair of returners, along with three freshman.
 
Paige Gilstrap is the top returner for the Bulldogs after an 82.1 stroke average a season ago. Lauren Sommerfeld averaged 89.3 in her first season as a collegiate a season ago.
 
The duo will be joined by a trio of freshman in Naomi Huang, Kenzie McCallum and Maggie Parmer.
