  • Quarterback Peyton Derrick threw a 19-yard touchdown pass to Tyler Cherry in the 4th quarter. He is the first Bulldog signal caller to throw a touchdown pass in his first start as a Bulldog since Dominique Allen in 2016.
  • Long snapper Steele Judy recovered a fumble in third quarter after a muffed punt.
  • Carson Hatchett recorded his first sack of the season as he got through the line and sacked the quarterback for a 12-yard loss.
  • Linebacker Hasan Black led the Bulldogs with eight tackles in the season opener. He also added a tackle-for-loss.

Inside The Numbers
7 - The Bulldogs have forced at least one turnover in seven-straight games dating back to the 2021 season. The Citadel intercepted a pass in each of the last six games of last season.
8 - ETSU enters the weekend ranked No. 8 in the FCS Coaches Poll. They are the highest ranked team to come to Johnson Hagood Stadium since No. 5 visited on Oct. 14, 2017.
14 - The Citadel opened the season with a 14-play drive against Campbell. The drive ended with a field goal, marking the first time the Bulldogs scored on their opening possession since the 2016 season.
31 - Saturday's game is the 31st all-time meeting between the Bulldogs and the Bucs. ETSU holds a 17-13 advantage in the series with four of the last five games decided by one possession.
36:34 - The Citadel possessed the ball for 36:34 in the season opener against Campbell, including over 10 minutes in the second quarter.
