BEFORE THE CITADEL: Played previous three years at Wofford…made six starts during the 2021 season…went 48-of-87 for 814 yards and seven touchdowns…also rushed for 262 yards and a touchdown…tied Wofford record with four touchdown passes against The Citadel…added a rushing touchdown in the game…threw longest touchdown in school history, an 88-yard completion against Samford…played in four games in spring 2021 season…threw for 131 yards and a touchdown, while rushing for 107 yards and two scores…appeared in three games in first year with Terriers…began career at Appalachian State…appeared in six games, going 13-for-22 for 186 yards and two touchdowns…completed each of his first 10 passes…team captured 2018 Sun Belt Championship.

HIGH SCHOOL: Played at Conway High School…named Region 6-5A Offensive Player of the Year as a senior after throwing for 2,865 yards and 29 touchdowns…earned all-state honors and named to the North-South All-Star Game…finished career with 8,666 passing yards, 9,544 yards of total offense, 77 passing touchdowns and 16 rushing scores…holds eight school records, including passing yards and career passing touchdowns…named to Academic Honor Roll all four years.

PERSONAL: Son of Dirk and Michelle Derrick…father played football at Wofford, while brother, Dakota, played football at Furman…graduated from Wofford with a degree in government.
