CHARLESTON, S.C. – The Citadel tennis team travels to Statesboro, Georgia, for an upcoming doubleheader against Georgia Southern on Jan. 28 with matches at 10:00 am and 3:00 pm. The Bulldogs then return home to face Stetson on Jan. 29 at 2:00 pm at Earle Tennis Center.
 
The Bulldogs picked up a regular season win against SC State on Jan. 14. The Citadel is 1-6 overall heading into the weekend. In the No.1 singles spot Hayden Shoemake has started the spring slate with a 4-3 overall record.

Georgia Southern has started the season 1-1 with a win against Flagler (6-1) on Jan 20. and a defeat to UCF (2-5) on Jan. 22. In their most recent match-up between both squads, The Citadel fell 0-7 to The Eagles on March 19, 2021. The matches will take place at the Wallis Tennis Center.

Scouting Stetson
Stetson is 2-1 to start the 2023 spring season with wins over Florida Southern (6-1) on Jan. 14 and Georgia State (4-3) on Jan. 20. Their defeat came against South Florida (2-5) on Jan. 22. The last match-up between The Bulldogs and Hatters came in 2017, as Stetson defeated the Bulldogs 1-6.
