Baseball Welcomes Lehigh to Riley Park

GAME NOTES

CHARLESTON, S.C. -
The Citadel continues its season-opening home staand as the Bulldogs welcome Lehigh to the Lowcountry for a three-game series at Joseph P. Riley, Jr. Park on Feb. 24-26. The series is set to get underway Friday at 3 p.m., and continue with a 2 p.m. start on Saturday and 11 a.m. on Sunday.

Please note that the start time for Sunday's series finale has been changed to 11 a.m. to accommodate Lehigh's travel.  


Weekend Weather

Temperatures are expected to be near 80 degrees for the series opener, then in the 70s for the final two games.

vs. Lehigh
The Citadel and Lehigh are meeting for the first time on the diamond.


vs. Patriot League
The weekend series against Lehigh is the first of two weekend series against teams from the Patriot League this season. The Bulldogs will welcome Holy Cross to the Lowcountry on March 10-12. It is the first meetings against teams from the Patriot League since Lafayette visited in 2015.


Fewell Makes Mound Debut
Transfer Ethan Fewell made his collegiate debut on the mound against Charleston Southern. Fewell retired all three hitters he faced, including to strikeouts. He spent the previous three years as an outfielder at Winthrop.


Season-Opening Sweep
The Citadel completed the three-game sweep over Delaware State with an 11-10 win on Sunday. It marked the second-straight season the Bulldogs opened the season with a series sweep.


On Deck
The Bulldogs hit the road for the first time this season as they travel to face Winthrop on March 1 at 4 p.m.
