CHARLESTON, S.C. – The Citadel tennis team hits the road for the USC-Sumter Winter Classic this weekend. The Bulldogs compete against USC-Sumter at 10:30 am and Benedict College at 1:00 pm on Feb. 4.
The Bulldogs look to bounce back tomorrow after losses last weekend against Georgia Southern and Stetson. The No.4 singles spot
Sebastian Kamieniecki picked up a win this past weekend against Stetson's Juan Jose Rodriguez (5-7, 6-3, 7-6).
Scouting USC-Sumter
The Fire Ants have started the season 1-0 with a win against Belmont Abbey College (6-1) on Jan 28. In their most recent match-up, The Citadel defeated USC-Sumter 6-1 on Feb. 5, 2022. The Bulldogs are 12-0 against the Fire Ants.
Scouting Benedict College
Benedict is 0-1 to start the 2023 spring season with a loss against Augusta University (1-6) on Feb. 1. The last match-up between the Bulldogs defeated the Tigers 7-0 on Feb. 2, 2020. The Citadel holds the all-time record of 5-0.
