Bulldogs REturn to Lowcountry to Face LIU

GAME NOTES

CHARLESTON, S.C. - The Citadel returns to the friendly confines of Joseph P. Riley, Jr. Park as it plays host to LIU for a three-game series on March 3-5. The series gets underway Friday at 4 p.m., and continues with a 2 p.m. first pitch on Saturday and a 1 p.m. matinee on Sunday.

Temperatures are expected to be in the upper 70s for the first two games of the series, and in the low 70s for the series finale.

vs. LIU
The weekend series against the Sharks will mark the first meetings between the two schools on the diamond. The schools met in wrestling in a home-and-home series each of the last two years.

vs. NEC
The weekend series against LIU marks the second weekend series against a team from the Northeast Conference this season. The Bulldogs opened the year with a three-game sweep of Delaware State.

Holmes Moves into Rotation
Left hander Will Holmes has earned a spot in the weekend rotation and will get the ball on Saturday. He has appeared in three games this season, making one start. He has struck out nine over 7.0 innings.

On Deck
The Bulldogs play their second-straight midweek game on the road as they travel to No. 23 South Carolina on March 7 at 7 p.m.
