Bulldogs Set for Three-Game Series at UNCG

GAME NOTES

GREENSBORO, N.C. - The Citadel returns to Southern Conference action as it travels to Greensboro, North Carolina for a three-game series against UNCG on Aril 14-16. The series opener is set for 12 p.m. Friday, with Saturday's game set for 2 p.m. and 1 p.m. start for the finale on Sunday.

Right hander Cameron Reeves was named the Southern Conference Pitcher of the Week on April 10 after throwing a complete-game shutout against Ball State.

Reeves Tosses CG Shutout
Right hander Cameron Reeves tossed a complete-game three-hit shutout in the final game of the series against Ball State. He struck out eight and did not walk a batter in his 7.0 innings of work. It was the first complete-game shutout for a Bulldog since Devin Beckley tossed a CG three-hit shutout against Saint Peter's on March 18, 2022.

Back-to-Back Extra Inning Games
The Citadel played back-to-back extra-inning games in the series against Ball State. It marked the first time since the 2010 Southern Conference Tournament the Bulldogs needed extra innings in two-straight games. In that instance, the Bulldogs defeated Elon in both contests.

Hutchins Named Pitcher of Month
Ben Hutchins was named the Southern Conference Pitcher of the Month for March. In his four starts, Hutchins went 3-0 with a 1.96 ERA. He allowed just five runs and struck out 23 over 23.0 innings.

On Deck
The Bulldogs welcome the College of Charleston to Riley Park on April 19 at 6 p.m.
