CHARLESTON, S.C. – The Citadel men's and women's track and field teams are set to compete in the two-day Catamount Classic hosted by Western Carolina on Apr. 14-15.

Friday's events begin with the men's pole vault at 1:00 PM, and the track events start with the women's 100 hurdle prelims.
Saturday's field events begin with the men's shot put at noon, and the track events start with the women's 4x100m relay.
On the Men's Side
- Last time out, Andrew Smith finished in the top spot in the 800m with a time of 1:54.00 at the Bill Carson Invitational.
- The 4x400m relay team earned second place with a time of 3:29.21.
- Owen Sharnas placed third in the 5000m at the Bill Carson Invitational with a time of 15:56.95.
- Jack Mulvey placed fourth overall in the high jump by clearing 5-10.75.
On the Women's Side
- The 4x100m relay team of Leah Murray, Mecca Jackson, Cyla Byrd, and Zeniyah Lawrence broke the school record at 47.37. Breaking the old record set in 2021 with a time of 47.67.
- Gabby Shea earned a second-place finish in the 800m run with a time of 2:22.05.
- Mecca Jackson earned two top-ten finishes at the Bill Carson Invitational. Jackson placed fifth in the 200m with a time of 24.40 and seventh in the 100m with a time of 12.09.
