Ghosh Earns Top Spot in Discus Throw

CULLOWHEE, N.C. – The Citadel men's and women's track and field teams wrapped up their weekend at the Catamount Classic on Saturday afternoon.

On the Men's Side

Solomon Ghosh earned his third top-ten finish of the weekend by placing first overall in the discus throw with a toss of 170-1, moving him into second place all-time.
Ghosh finished tenth overall in the shot put with 43-03.25.
Stephen Kraeling placed second overall in the high jump by clearing 6-6.75.
Kane Duncan finished in third in the 400m dash with a time of 48.81.
Andrew Smith earned sixth in the 800m run with a time of 1:53.59.
Prince Moody leaped 6-4.75 in the high jump to finish in sixth.
Treonte Newton placed eighth overall with a time of 49.72 in the 400m dash.
Tate Sistare competed in the triple jump, earning a tenth-place finish by leaping 40-9.5.

On the Women's Side

The 4x100m relay team earned a second-place finish with a time of 47.01.
Mecca Jackson competed in the 100m finals, earning a third-place finish with a time of 11.90.
Emma Cunningham placed third in the 3000m steeple chase, finishing with 11:57.54.
Tatiana Corso threw 41-0.25 in the shot put to place fourth.
