
Track and Field Wraps up Outdoor Season

CHARLESTON, S.C. – The Citadel men's and women's track and field teams will wrap up their regular outdoor season at the East Coast Relays hosted by North Florida on Apr. 28 – 29.

Friday will begin with the men's hammer throw at 3:00 pm, and the track events will start with the 400m hurdles. Saturday's events start with the men's discus at 11:00 am, and the track events begin at noon with the 4x100m relay.

On the Men's Side
- Solomon Ghosh has been awarded the Southern Conference field athlete of the week for the second straight week. Ghosh broke the outdoor record in the discus with a toss of 173-0.00.
- Prince Moody earned the top spot at the USC Open in the high jump by clearing 6-06.00.
- The Bulldogs took the eighth, ninth, and tenth spots in the javelin throw at the USC Open.
On the Women's Side
- Heidi Fortin broke her record in the 5K with a time of 17:45.53, breaking her old record set in 2022.
- Mecca Jackson continues to have an outstanding outdoor season as she broke her school record in the 100m with a time of 11.78.
- Pole vaulter Blythe Hehmeyer adds another top-ten finish to her impressive season as she finished in third by clearing 11-08.00.
