Bulldogs with Multiple School Records at the East Coast Relays

JACKSONVILLE, FLA. – The Citadel men's and women's track and field teams set two school records during the weekend at the East Coast Relays.
 
On the Women's Side
  • Ali Ruffin broke the school record in the javelin with a toss of 148-09, earning her third place. Ruffin beat Madyson Riegel's record of 147-6 set in 2018.
  • Mecca Jackson breaks her school record in the 200m with a time of 23.92, breaking her old record of 24.26.
  • Zeniyah Lawrence finished with a PR of 12.05 in the 100m to put her in the second spot all-time. She ranks third all-time in the 200m with a time of 24.82. 
 
On the Men's Side
  • Solomon Ghosh had two top-ten finishes during the weekend. Ghosh placed second in the discus throw with a toss of 178-05, breaking his own record that he set last week in the discus, finishing in second place.
  • Ghosh finished in the tenth spot in the hammer throw with a toss of 152-03.
  • Reggie Reynolds placed sixth overall in the hammer with a toss of 161-04.

The Southern Conference Outdoor Championships begin on May 8-9 in Cullowhee, North Carolina.
