SPARTANBURG, S.C. – The Southern Conference has announced its 2022-23 Spring Academic All-Conference Team, a list led by 43 cadet-athletes from The Citadel. Every sport placed at least one representative, with baseball leading with ten.
 
To be eligible for the academic all-conference team, student-athletes must carry at least a 3.3 cumulative grade-point average at the conclusion of the spring semester and were required to compete in at least one-half of their teams' competitions during the recently concluded campaign. In addition, the student-athletes must have successfully completed at least three semesters at their institutions, making true freshmen and first-year transfers ineligible for inclusion.
 
Baseball, Men's outdoor and indoor track & field, and wrestling placed ten honorees on the Spring academic team; women's indoor and outdoor track & field placed seven; rifle with six; women's golf with four, and basketball and tennis with two.
