CHARLESTON, S.C. – The Citadel football team had two players selected to The Bluebloods Preseason Southern Conference (SoCon) All-Conference team on Monday afternoon, with Hasan Black being named first-team defense while Dominick Poole was selected to the second team.

This is the second 2023 preseason honor for the duo as both Black and Poole were chosen to Phil Steele's SoCon Preseason All-Conference team last week.
Black posted his best season in 2022 with four sacks, 10.5 tackles for loss, and 82 total tackles to lead the Bulldogs in both categories. He ranked in the top ten in the SoCon in all three categories. He posted at least six tackles in nine of the 11 games, including a season-high 11 stops against Wofford.
Poole showcased impressive skills as a corner, tallying 48 tackles, three interceptions, two forced fumbles, and two fumble recoveries. Poole intercepted two passes against Western Carolina in the Bulldogs' road victory.
