Bulldogs Best Buccaneers in Second Half, 2-1

How It Happened:

17' – CSU earned a corner kick but Nora Sampson aggressively punched the ball away from danger as the Buccaneers were unable to muster a shot.
19' – Caroline Weeren let one rip from 25 yards out, but it sailed just high over the crossbar.
42' – CSU tried to get on the board right before the break but the attempt from 20 yards out missed wide.
47' – The Buccaneers struck early in the second half, scoring 1:16 in, to break the 0-0 tie.
57' – After the Bulldogs were given a yellow card two minutes earlier, they earned a big advantage as a Buccaneers player was sent off with a red.
61' – Elisa Fuentes had a chance inside the 18' but her low shot was saved by the CSU goalkeeper.
69' – The Citadel tied the match at 1-1 as Ariana Paez's corner kick was headed in by Grace Duncan for her third goal of the season and second in two matches.
77' – After Sampson made a pair of saves, Danielle Etienne played a ball out wide to Duncan who crossed it into the box. Paez controlled the ball with a good first touch before running by a CSU defender to get an angle and beating the goalkeeper on the far side to put CIT ahead 2-1.
