CHARLESTON, S.C. – The Citadel basketball team led by three at halftime but a 46-point second half by the North Carolina A&T Aggies handed the Bulldogs an 82-73 home loss on Sunday afternoon.
Brody Fox poured in 25, including a 19-point first half while
Cam Glover had his best showing as a Bulldog, netting 17.
First Half:
- Sola Adebisi's three-point play cut the deficit to one, 13-12, and ignited a 12-2 Bulldogs run that put them ahead 21-15 halfway through the first half.
- Christian Moore's 3-pointer with 5:22 remaining nudged the edge to five, 28-23.
- A Keynan Davis dunk pushed the differential back to seven, 37-30, with 1:43 to go but the Aggies scored four points in the last 57 seconds to trail by just three at intermission.
Second Half:
- After an NC A&T corner three tied the game at 41-41, Glover answered with one of his own to give The Citadel a 49-45 lead in the early going.
- An Aggies 3-pointer at the 13:15 mark put them ahead, 57-54, but a bucket by Davis knotted the score at 64-64 halfway through the stanza.
- NC A&T responded with a 9-0 run to open up some breathing room, 73-64, with 6:53 remaining.
- The Citadel would get as close as four, 73-69, but NC A&T held off the Bulldogs down the stretch to prevail 82-73.
