Joseph P. Riley, Jr. Park Clubhouse Renovation Campaign

CHARLESTON, S.C. - Rule changes in Major League Baseball and Minor League Baseball have created a unique opportunity to partner with the City of Charleston and The Charleston RiverDogs for a clubhouse renovation campaign for Joseph P. Riley, Jr. Park.

The Citadel Baseball program will get a brand-new locker room and clubhouse, effectively moving baseball operations to Joseph P. Riley, Jr. Park and creating a central home for The Citadel Baseball. This addition will elevate our facilities to be one of the best in the Southern Conference, adding value to our baseball program.

This proposed change would enable us to relocate our two-time conference champions, The Citadel Volleyball team, to a more desirable facility featuring enhanced locker rooms and offices. The project, therefore, benefits two sports and significantly improves the locker room and office situations for both.

"This project is an important opportunity for our baseball program. We need all of us who love The Citadel Baseball to step up to the plate and make this happen. For over 35 years, we have been in the same space, and not much has changed," said head coach Tony Skole. "It is time for us to catch up with the rest of the programs in our league and give our players a home they can be proud to go to every day. I thank you in advance for your continued support, and I especially thank you for impacting the lives of the wonderful young people in our program."

Our initial goal is to raise $1.5 million towards the construction of the clubhouse. Supporters can make a 5-year pledge to spread their gift (e.g., $5,000/year = $25,000 pledge). Please visit foundation.citadel.edu/JoeRileyPark to learn more about the project and make your pledge today!
