Hausner Homers in Series Opener Against the Spartans

CHARLESTON, S.C. – Anthony Hausner recorded his fifth home run of the year in a 13-5 loss against USC Upstate in the series opener on Friday afternoon.

  • The Spartans scored the game's first runs with an RBI single from David Pereira and a fielder's choice RBI to make it 2-0 in the top of the second.
  • The Bulldogs answered back in the bottom of the second with an opposite-field home run from Anthony Hausner, making the game even at 2-2.
  • USC Upstate added three runs in the top of the fifth inning with a two-run RBI double from Koby Kropf and a bases-loaded walk to make it 5-2.
  • Aryan Patel singled to right field, scoring Garrett Dill from second, narrowing the lead to 5-3.
