Sam Swygert posted a stellar performance on the mound as the Bulldogs defeated Keydets, 7-1, on Friday afternoon, netting the first conference win of the season.

How It Happened
- Javier Crespo got the Bulldogs on the board in the first with the RBI single to left center, scoring Wells Sykes.
- Crespo scored on a wild pitch from VMI, making it 2-0.
- Travis Lott knocked in the game's third run for the Bulldogs with a fielder's choice RBI, which brought home Sykes.
- Thomas Rollauer recorded a sac-fly RBI in the top of the fourth, scoring the fourth run for The Citadel at 4-0.
- Wells Sykes tripled down the right field line, bringing home Sawyer Reeves.
- The Bulldogs added one more in the fourth from a wild pitch, scoring Sykes to make it 6-0.
- Sawyer Reeves hit a RBI double in the right-center gap, scoring Travis Elliott to extend the Bulldogs lead to 7-0.
