Reeves Achieves Career-High in Home Runs

CLINTON, S.C. – Sawyer Reeves achieved a career-high by hitting his fifth home run on the season as the Bulldogs fell in game two, 9-6, on Saturday afternoon.

How It Happened
  • Joel Dragoo started things off for Presbyterian with a solo home run in the bottom of the first.
  • Wells Sykes picked up where he left off with an RBI double that hit off the center field fence, scoring Matthew Lively to make it 1-1.
  • Travis Elliott dropped a squeeze bunt, scoring Wells Sykes from third, to make it 2-1 in the third inning.
  • Thomas Rollauer followed up Elliott with an RBI single through the left side that scored Elliott to make it a 3-1 Bulldogs lead.
  • Jack Gorman flew out to the right field for the sac-fly RBI in the bottom of the fourth to narrow the Bulldog's lead to 3-2.
  • Travis Elliott tripled down the right-field line for an RBI, scoring Sykes from first to extend the Bulldogs lead to 4-2 in the fifth inning.
  • Presbyterian tied the game at 4-4 in the bottom of the fifth with a two-run RBI double from Brody Fahr, and Fahr scored on a passed ball to take the lead at 5-4.
  • Presbyterian extended their lead to 6-4 with a wild pitch.
  • Dragoo scored his second run of the game with a single to right field, making it 7-4.
  • The Bulldogs scored two in the seventh, a solo home run from Sawyer Reeves and a sac-fly RBI from Garrett Fulmer, to make it a one-run game at 7-6.
