SPARTANBURG, S.C. – The Citadel women's golf program compiled a competitive showing in the team's second tournament of the young season at the Terrier Intercollegiate, logging 14th overall on a final 193-over mark across the two-day, 54-hole battle at the Country Club of Spartanburg.
"This course definitely tested us with thick rough and fast undulating greens," head coach
Lori Bonacci said. "It wasn't our best showing, but we learned a lot from it and we will use that during practice this week to be ready for UNCG next week."
Individually,
Naomi Huang paced the Bulldogs at 66th behind a 44-over outing while
Teryn Dalton fought to her highest-ever finish at 67th, courtesy of a 46-over performance.
Maggie Parmer (49-over) slid in at 71st while
Chaela Barnett (59-over) and
Sofia Vargas (59-over) matched up for a tie at 73rd to round out the scoring corps for The Citadel.
