Citadel Women’s Soccer Announces 2025-26 Signing Class

CHARLESTON, S.C. – The Citadel women's soccer program announced its 2025-26 signing class as head coach Ciaran Traquair continues to build the foundation of the Bulldogs' roster. The incoming group brings a strong mix of technical ability, leadership, and championship experience to the program.

"This class will be great for our program and for The Citadel. We wanted good people here who can move our program forward, and that will be evident in this incoming group. I am excited for the impact they can make and for the young ladies who are already here setting the standards for our future," said Traquair.

Reese Denson
MF | 5-3 | Acworth, Ga. | Allatoona High School

Reese Denson joins The Citadel from Allatoona High School in Acworth, Georgia, where she starred as a midfielder under head coach Troy Petersen. A consistent standout throughout her prep career, Denson earned First Team All-Region honors in 2023, 2024, and 2025, while also being named to the All-Cobb County Team in both 2024 and 2025. She captured the Golden Boot Award in 2024 and was selected as team MVP in back-to-back seasons. Denson helped lead Allatoona to a Final Four appearance in 2025. She is the daughter of Aaron and Amanda Denson.

Adi Regrutto
MF | 5-7 | Chattanooga, Tenn. | Signal Mountain High School

Adi Regrutto joins The Citadel from Signal Mountain High School in Chattanooga, Tennessee, where she excelled as a midfielder under head coach Richard Northcutt. Regrutto enjoyed a decorated prep career, earning District MVP honors twice while also collecting All-District, All-Region, and All-State recognition in both 2023 and 2024. A consistent playmaker and impact performer, she helped elevate Signal Mountain's midfield with her versatility and competitive presence. Regrutto is the daughter of Erin and Ryan Regrutto. CB | 5-8 | Scottsdale, Ariz. | Chaparral High School

Sophie Voyer joins The Citadel from Chaparral High School in Scottsdale, Arizona, where she anchored the back line as a centerback under head coach Robin Carlson. Voyer helped guide Chaparral to two state championships during her prep career and earned First Team All-Region honors for her consistent defensive excellence. A composed and reliable presence in the back, she played a key role in one of Arizona's most competitive programs. Voyer is the daughter of David and Wendy Voyer. Julieta Hernandez Escoboza

Julieta Hernandez Escoboza joins The Citadel from Bayonne High School in Bayonne, New Jersey, where she excelled as a dynamic midfielder and forward under head coach Victor Pesantez. Hernandez Escoboza helped guide Bayonne to four consecutive Hudson County Championship finals and two state semifinal appearances, contributing as a playmaker and goal scorer throughout her prep career. She earned numerous accolades, including two Hudson County Midfielder of the Year awards, All-Hudson County First Team honors, All-American Division First Team recognition, and an additional All-County Honorable Mention selection. Hernandez Escoboza is the daughter of Macario Hernandez and Raquel Escoboza. Gabriellah Davis
CB | 5-5 | Arlington, Va. | Yorktown High School

Gabriellah Davis joins The Citadel from Yorktown High School in Arlington, Virginia, where she competed as a center back under head coach Hannah Davis. Davis played a key role in her program's back line and was part of a championship-winning run, helping guide her team to the 2023 6A Arkansas state title. Known for her defensive discipline and composure, she brings a strong positional foundation to the Bulldogs' backfield. Davis is the daughter of Reagen Davis and Natania Davis. Aliana Banner
GK | 5-8 | Germantown, Wis. | Divine Savior Holy Angels

Aliana Banner joins The Citadel from Divine Savior Holy Angels in Germantown, Wisconsin, where she competed as a goalkeeper throughout her prep career. Banner brings strong athletic tools, size, and natural shot-stopping ability to the Bulldogs' goalkeeper unit as she continues her development at the collegiate level. She is the daughter of Robert and Jody Banner, and her family holds an extensive record of distinguished service, including notable relatives such as Richard C. Suehr, a P-38 Lightning Ace and recipient of the Silver Star, two Purple Hearts, and the Distinguished Flying Cross; John G. Schmitz, retired U.S. Congressman and Marine Colonel; John P. Schmitz, former Deputy White House Counsel under President George H. W. Bush; and Joseph E. Schmitz, former Inspector General of the Department of Defense. Emily Wash
MF | 5-4 | New Braunfels, Texas | Davenport High School

Emily Wash joins The Citadel from Davenport High School in New Braunfels, Texas, where she made her mark as a midfielder under head coach Tristan Richards. Wash enjoyed a highly successful prep career, earning First Team All-District honors from 2023 to 2025 while establishing herself as one of the top players in Region 4 District 26. She was named the 2023 District 26 Newcomer of the Year and added All-State Honorable Mention recognition in 2025, showcasing her consistency and playmaking ability in midfield. Wash is the daughter of Karen and Gordon Briscoe.
