CHARLESTON, S.C. – The Southern Conference announced its 2025 postseason women's soccer awards on Wednesday, with The Citadel's
Gabi Macer earning a spot on the SoCon All-Freshman Team following an impressive debut season.
Macer, a 5-foot-6 midfielder from Atlanta, Georgia (West Forsyth High School), started 16 of 17 matches for the Bulldogs in her freshman campaign, logging more than 1,300 minutes of action. She finished the season with 17 total shots and five shots on goal, including a season-high three shots and two on frame in The Citadel's Southern Conference Tournament match at Wofford on October 28.
Macer becomes the latest Bulldog to earn SoCon All-Freshman Team honors under Traquair, joining a standout group that includes
Adrienne Trerotola (2023),
Elisa Fuentes (2022), Celeste Nadar (2022), Suzuka Yosue (2019), and Kessy Bradshaw (2018). With Macer's selection, The Citadel has now produced six All-Freshman honorees during Traquair's tenure, continuing the program's steady rise in developing young talent within the Southern Conference.
