CHARLESTON, S.C. – The Citadel men's and women's track and field programs have released their 2026 indoor and outdoor schedules, featuring a balanced mix of conference meets, regional competition, and nationally competitive invitations.

The Bulldogs open the indoor season on January 17 at JDL Fast Track in Winston-Salem before traveling to VMI for a conference meet on January 23–24. February competition includes the Carolina Classic (Feb. 6–7), the Tryon Mid-Winter Collegiate Invitational (Feb. 13–14), and the USC Invite (Feb. 21). The indoor portion concludes with the Southern Conference Indoor Championships on February 27–28 in Lexington, Virginia.

The outdoor slate begins at the Alan Connie Shamrock Invitational on March 20–21 at Doug Shaw Stadium in Myrtle Beach. The Bulldogs will then head to the Weems Baskin Invitational on March 28, followed by the Duke Invitational (April 9–11), South Carolina State (April 18), and the historic Penn Relays (April 24–25). The regular season wraps up at East Coast Relays in Jacksonville (May 1–2). Postseason competition continues at the Southern Conference Outdoor Championships (May 11–12) in Cullowhee, North Carolina, and the NCAA East Preliminary Round in Lexington, Kentucky (May 27–30).

Key returners include Bradlee Jones, the reigning Southern Conference Champion in the 100 meters and 200 meters outdoors as well as the 60 meters indoors. Ridge Dowe will anchor the throws squad in his final season as the returning champion in the hammer throw. The Bulldogs are also excited to have Jordan Chestnut back. He has recovered well from his knee injury and aims to return to the podium in multiple jumping events.

On the women's side, Alliann Johnson will lead the sprinters as she looks to climb The Citadel's all-time performance lists and make a strong impact at the conference level. The program also welcomes a trio of freshmen expected to make immediate contributions and score valuable points: Jadan Dean in the throws, Liliana Coe in the pole vault and triple jump, and Cameron Martin in the sprints and the 400 hurdles.

Head coach Kris Kut expressed his excitement for the upcoming season, noting the progress and commitment of the group.

"We have a very hard-working team that gives everything every day and has truly improved the culture in and out of the locker room. Our seniors are determined to finish on a high note and have done an outstanding job leading a young group made up mostly of freshmen and sophomores. We are hoping to see some strong individual performances this season, and we believe this large recruiting class will add the depth we need to climb in the team standings. Overall, we are extremely excited to develop this young team. There is a lot of potential here, and we are ready to help them grow."
