Volleyball Welcomes Four Signees

CHARLESTON, S.C. – The Citadel volleyball head coach Dave Zelenock has announced the additions of Emma Pastusic, Allie Davison, Emerson Hill, and Cameron Reese.
 
Emma Pastusic, OH, 6-0, Boone, N.C. (Watauga High School)
Played for Kim Pryor at Watauga High School…Finished her senior season with an overall record of 28-2, the NCHSSA 6A State Championship finalist, and the 2025 Northwestern Conference 6A/7A regular season and tournament champion…Honored as the 2025 Northwestern Conference 6A/7A Player of the Year, All-Tournament team, MVP, and All-Conference…Named to the 2025 NCVBCA First team All-State and All-Region…Selected as the NCVBCA 6A State Player of the Year…Chosen to the 2025 AVCA All-Region, NCVBCA All-Star game, and the JVA Watch List…Selected to compete in the 2024 The Red Hat Games…Named to the 2023 and 2024 Northwestern Conference 3A/4A All-Conference team and honored as the Northwestern 3A/4A Offensive Player of the Year…Plans to major in exercise science at The Citadel.
 
"When you watch Emma play, it's obviously impressive; she's strong, physical at the net, and super aggressive in and out of system. She's won all the awards you can win as a high school player. What we were most impressed with was how Emma handles all that praise; she always passes it along to her teammates," said head coach Dave Zelenock. "A kid this good at an early age and this determined to keep improving is precisely what we look for in a The Citadel Volleyball player."
 
Allie Davison, Setter, 5-10, Novi, Mich. (Marian High School)
Played for Mayssa Cook at Marian High School…Finished her senior season with an overall record of 44-6…Tallied 3,579 career assists, recording 1,135 in her senior season…Selected to the 2025 MIVCA D1 All-State First team, All-Region, and CHSL All-Catholic team…Ranked #26 on the 2024 PrepVolleyball Upper Midwest Player rankings…Named to the 2024 Division 1 MHSAA All-State Second team…Finished the 2024 season as the MHSAA D1 State semifinalist…Selected to the 2024 PrepVolleyball Top 150 team…Finished the 2023 season in the MHSAA D1 quarterfinal…Honored as a 2023 Max Preps Sophomore All-American…Selected to the 2023 MHSAA All-Region and CHSL All-League teams…finished the 2022 season as the MHSAA D1 State Champions…Plans to major in Biology at The Citadel.
 
"Allie comes in with extensive experience. She's setting the top club in the country, she's won state titles, and she's used to running the ship," said head coach Dave Zelenock. "Her size, court sense, and ability to lead a team made her a no-brainer for us. We are excited to get a setter of her ability in the program."
 
Emerson Hill, Libero, 5-5, Tulsa, Okla. (Jenks High School)
Played for Steph Kane at Jenks High School…Finished her senior season with a 23-15 overall record and made it to the semifinals of the 6A State Championships…Named the Jenks High School Defensive MVP…Selected to the 2025 All-Tournament team, 6A East All-State, and All-Conference First team…Recorded 1,000 career digs at Jenks…Plans to major in Intelligence and Security Studies at The Citadel.
 
"Emerson is exactly what you think of when you say 'cadet/athlete.' She's super hard-nosed and gritty on the court and composed and respectful off the court," said head coach Dave Zelenock. "The back court for us is intense with talent, so she's joining a tough position group where I predict she makes an impact quickly."
 
Cameron Reese, OH, 5-9, Las Vegas, Nev. (Arbor View)
Played for Joshua Bagus at Arbor View…Finished her senior season with a record of 30-7…Named as the team captain for the 2025 season, selected to the All-Region First team.
 
"Cam is a high-flying dynamic outside that will add much-needed depth to the position. She's on the smaller side, but her jump, arm speed, range, and work ethic make up for the inches," said head coach Dave Zelenock. "Her high energy and positive attitude are exactly what we look for in a pin hitter."
