OXFORD, Miss. -- Against the backdrop of a sellout crowd of 67,326, The Citadel (4-6, 3-3 SoCon) struggled to establish any traction throughout the program's non-conference season finale at No. 6/7 Ole Miss (9-1, 5-1 SoCon), faltering to the highly-touted Rebels via a 49-0 decision Saturday afternoon at Vaught-Hemingway Stadium.
KEY NOTES
-- Offensively, The Citadel racked up just 106 yards on 50 plays, topping the Rebels in time-of-possession by a final 32:04-to-27:56 margin
-- Under center,
Quentin Hayes paced the usual one-two punch at QB with 35 rushing yards on 12 carries;
Cobey Thompkins added 23 yards through the air on a 3-of-6 day passing

Beau Herrington finished led the way with 53 yards on the ground behind just seven carries, notably breaking off a 41-yard gash early in the third quarter
