Three Bulldogs Finish in the Top Spot at the VMI Winter Classic

Lexington, Va. – Bradlee Jones, Emily Pierontoni, and Dillion McCarthy all finished first overall in their events at the VMI Winter Classic.
On the Men's Side

Bradlee Jones took the top spot in the 60m with a time of 6.83. Jones recorded fifth in the 200m dash with a time of 22.10, earning the eighth spot all-time.
Jones broke the school record last weekend in the 60m.
Dillion McCarthy recorded 15-01.00 in the pole vault to finish first overall.
Andrew Granger threw a PR in the weight to finish fourth with 54-1.75 and earned the sixth throw in school history.
Ridge Dowe threw 53-3 to take fifth and earned the eighth spot all time.
Jaxon Brewer recorded a strong performance in the triple jump by leaping 43-04.25 to finish sixth overall. He also finished 11^th overall in the high jump with 5-08.00.

On the Women's Side

Emily Pierontoni finished first overall in the mile with a time of 5:09.46. She broke the school record in the mile previously held by Sarah Strickland of 5:13. Pierontoni records back-to-back first-place finishes, where she finished first in the 1000m last weekend.
Pierontoni also finished seventh overall in the 800m at 2:23.35 to earn the eighth spot all-time.
Allian Johnson recorded a fifth-place finish in the 60m prelims to qualify for the finals with a time of 7.76 to earn the fourth spot all-time. where she ended up placing eighth overall.
Johnson ran a PR in the 200m with 25.67 to earn the fifth spot all-time.
Emily Danielsson recorded 49-09.00 in the weight throw to finish fifth overall.
Riley Lair recorded two top-ten finishes, where she finished ninth in the shot put with a PR toss of 34-07.00 and tenth in the weight throw with a toss of 44-09.00.
