Records: The Citadel (6-4), Yale (3-2)

How It Happened
- After the pair of Bulldog starters carried a scoreless contest into the sixth frame, The Citadel broke the deadlock on a well-executed sacrifice squeeze bunt from Chase Loggins, scoring Phillips Daniels from third
- Just an inning later, Travis Elliot takes advantage of a Matthew Lively leadoff single with an infield single of his own, picking up the RBI for a key insurance run
Inside the Box Score
- Daniels wrapped up the day a perfect 3-for-3 at the plate, notably scoring the go-ahead run for the Bulldogs in the sixth
- In spite of a brilliant 5.0 frames of work for Floyd, which included just three hits with four strikeouts, the win fell to reliever Bland due to the late sixth-inning lead change in favor of The Citadel; the latter composed a strong 3.0 frames of work as well, striking out three batters while giving up just two hits
- Hausner logged his second save of the year in yet-another clutch appearance, setting down the side in the ninth and sealing the victory with a swinging strikeout
