Baseball Set to Face Samford

CHARLESTON, S.C. – The Citadel Bulldogs (18-15, 3-3 SoCon) will take on the Samford Bulldogs (18-15, 4-2 SoCon) in a three-game series at Joe Lee Griffin Field from April 11-13. The first pitch for Friday is scheduled for 7 p.m. (ET), Saturday at 3 p.m. (ET), and Sunday at 2 p.m. (ET).

Grand Slam For Poppell
Rhyder Poppell hit his first grand slam during an 11-3 victory over Western Michigan this past weekend. This grand slam by Poppell is the first since 2023, when Thomas Rollauer hit one against Delaware State.
 
Small Ball
The Citadel ranks third in the NCAA in sacrifice bunts with 34 and first in the SoCon. Travis Elliott ranks 11th in the NCAA with eight SAC bunts.
 
On Deck
The Citadel has two midweek away games: one against South Carolina on April 15 and another against the College of Charleston on April 16.
