How It Happened
- Travis Elliott scored the first run of the game for the Bulldogs with a safety squeeze, scoring Phillips Daniels from third to make it 1-0.
- The Bulldogs added their second run of the first with an RBI fielder's choice from Thomas Rollauer, scoring TJ Anderson.
- VMI tied the game in the third inning at 2-2 with an RBI single and an RBI double.
- The Citadel erupted for five runs in the third inning. Lane Tobin began with an RBI single that scored Elliott, reclaiming the lead for the Bulldogs at 3-2.
