KALAMAZOO, MICH. – Rhyder Poppell hit a grand slam in the top of the fifth inning, contributing to a nine-run rally that propelled the Bulldogs to an 11-3 victory over the Broncos, clinching the series.

How It Happened
- The Bulldogs began the first inning with a fielder's choice RBI by Noah Cadiz, making the score 1-0.
- Western Michigan tied the game at 1-1 in the second inning with a solo home run from Dylan Nevar.
- The Broncos gained a one-run lead at 2-1 in the fourth inning, thanks to an RBI single from Nevar.
- The Citadel scored nine runs in the top of the fifth inning, beginning with an error made by the Broncos that allowed Lane Tobin to score.
- Phillips Daniels doubled to left field, scoring Aryan Patel. This led to a TJ Anderson RBI double down the left field line, which scored Daniels from second.
- Anthony Hausner laid down the squeeze bunt that allowed Anderson to score.
