BIRMINGHAM, ALA. – The Citadel track & field teams captured an individual title, four all-conference honors, two school records, and five qualifiers for tomorrow's running events on day one of the 2025 Southern Conference Outdoor Championships.
Ridge Dowe won his first individual Southern Conference hammer throw with a throw of 170-05, finishing first overall. Dowe joins JP Caglione as the most recent Bulldog to win the hammer throw, having previously done so in 2021.
Ali Ruffin achieved a podium finish in the javelin, finishing second with a personal record throw of 159-3, breaking her own school record.
Emily Danielsson finished second in the hammer throw with a PR toss of 160-11, earning the sixth spot all-time.
Arthur Parham secured third place in the javelin with a throw of 184-4, earning All-Conference honors.
Jabraivon Woodard was selected for the All-Freshman team after leaping 19-06.25 in the long jump.
On the Men's Side
- Jack Weil placed fourth in the javelin with a personal record of 180-2. He also secured seventh in the hammer throw with a personal record of 156-10.
- Jack Scott was fifth in the pole vault with 14-11.
- Ian McCorkle finished eighth in the javelin with a throw of 161-2.
- Bradlee Jones qualified first in the 100 meters with a time of 10.34 seconds and first in the 200 meters with a personal record and school record of 20.88 seconds. He is the first Bulldog to ever break the 21-second barrier.
- Noah Casa finished third to qualify for the 400IH with a time of 55.66.
- Connor Hill qualified for the 400m hurdles with a time of 59.09, finishing eighth.
On the Women's Side
- Riley Lair placed seventh overall in the hammer throw with a toss of 141-10.
- Sam Barnes was seventh in the javelin with a PR toss of 120-2.
- Alliann Johnson qualified for the finals in the 100 with a time of 12.40.
