GREENVILLE, S.C. – The Citadel lost their first game of the 2025 Southern Conference Tournament, 12-4, against Wofford.
Travis Elliott hit a solo home run in the ninth inning.

How It Happened
- Wofford scored the first run of the game with an RBI double from Tanner Hardin, making it 1-0 in the first inning.
- The Terriers took a 2-0 lead in the second inning with an RBI single from Niko Brini.
- Wofford scored two more runs in the top of the fourth with a two-run RBI double, taking a 4-0 lead.
- The Citadel turned it into a one-run game in the bottom of the fifth inning with Aryan Patel's two-run RBI ground-rule double and Phillips Daniels' sacrifice bunt that scored Matthew Lively, making it 4-3.
- Wofford responded with a three-run sixth inning on a bases-clearing three-run RBI double from Brini, bringing the score to 7-3.
- The Terriers scored four runs in the seventh and one in the eighth, leading 12-3.
