CHARLESTON, S.C. – The Citadel baseball team (5-8) is scheduled to host the South Carolina Gamecocks (12-5) on March 10 inside Joseph P. Riley Jr. Park, with the first pitch at 7 p.m.

Poppell Produces on the Diamond and Gridiron
This past weekend, Rhyder Poppell hit his second career home run, blasting a shot over the right-field wall against No. 21 Kentucky. Poppell, who also plays for The Citadel football team, is the most recent dual-sport athlete to register multiple home runs, joining Ryan McCarthy as the latest dual-sport athlete with multiple homers in a career.
 
Barbs is on Fire
Freshman Miles Barbrey is off to a blazing start for The Citadel, batting a team-high .382 with 13 hits, ranking ninth in the league. This past weekend, Barbrey hit .625 with five hits and a double.
 
On Deck
The Citadel heads to Martin, Tennessee, to face UT-Martin for a three-game series on March 13-15.
